Mesolithic Sussex Flint

The Mesolithic flint I found at Arlington, now entered in the Portable Antiquities Scheme database. Described as "A fragment of flint bladelet, possibly a piece of debitage or an unfinished microlith blank, Mesolithic, 8000-4500BC. The tertiary flake has been truncated at the proximal end, removing the bulb of percussion though, the rippling remains visible on the ventral side. The dorsal side is marked by a longitudinal ridge created by previous flake removals to either side. There is no retouch present on the object, though there is some damage to the edges of the flake."
